Student Voice & Agency
All students are empowered to learn and achieve, experiencing high quality teaching practice and the best conditions for learning which equip them with the knowledge, skills and dispositions for lifelong learning and shaping the world around them.
Victoria’s vision for learning (Department of Education and Training, 2018)
Victoria’s vision for learning recognises the fundamental importance of empowering students and the contribution that student voice, agency and leadership make to improved student outcomes, health and wellbeing.
Our school highly values and promotes student voice and agency in learning with the aim of empowering them to meaningfully contribute to the decisions and actions that affect them at school.
One way we promote student voice at school is via our Student Representative Council (SRC). This year the SRC has worked together to plan and promote a number of activities focused on important issues or current events.
Last week was World Environment Day and a number of students made recycled art projects – an activity suggested by Jasper and our SRC. See their wonderful creations below.
