Our School

Mount Dandenong Primary School is situated adjacent to the Mount Dandenong Tourist Road, framed in a picturesque, forest setting.  The school was established in 1897 and rebuilding programs in 1990 and 2011 have resulted in modern buildings that blend perfectly into the environment.

The 170 students at Mount Dandenong thrive in an atmosphere that is stimulating and encourages every child to discover the style of learning that best suits their needs.

A whole school values program is embedded at Mount Dandenong Primary and underpins school organisation and welfare. The warmth and friendliness of the learning climate validates the success of the values program.

Student leadership is highly valued and the students are excellent ambassadors for the school. Our community is very supportive and extensive parent participation is a strong feature of this school. We promote a friendly and caring atmosphere, where all parents are encouraged to be involved in school and community activities.
